Have you ever wonder what goes  into making a luxury leather belt? Join us for our Tooled Belt Making Workshop on Thursday 6th June 9am – 2pm.

Leather crafting just like any other skill, requires not only practice but also the correct techniques upon which to properly build those skills. You will be guided through creating your bespoke belt by expert leatherworking tutor and skilled artisan Cherryl McIntyre.

Customize the fit of your belt- tailor your belt to your size, include leather tooling techniques, finishing edges and fitting hardware to your belt.

You will make a 38mm wide (1 1/2″)  belt in this fun and friendly workshop.

If you don’t need a belt, you can make a dog collar for your best mate instead using the same principals and processes.

This is a great course for people who have wanted to try their hand at creating your own luxury leather goods but don’t know how to start or are looking to have a better foundation in leather work.

Along the way you will also gain some insight into working with leather, its structure and layers – find out the difference between full-grain and genuine leather.

This is a fun and practical workshop suitable for beginners, or anyone in need of a fancy new belt or dog collar! Join some like-minded leatherworkers for a day of learning.

  • Please bring along an old belt that fits you – this helps for an accurate measurement of your belt.
  • If you are making a dog collar, please bring your dog’s current collar or measurements of their neck
  • Alternatively, take a measurement  hip or waist, if you are making the belt for another person

All tools and equipment will be supplied.
